Cedar’s Wonder is a place where people remember that they are a part of nature, not separate from it. That there is more meaning when we put down our scrolling and pick up a leaf.

A place where they can feel their heart connecting with tree beings, rock beings, all beings. A place where they can remember that slowing down is okay, that it is necessary.

Cedar’s Wonder guides people back to that simple joy of listening to the birds sing in the forest, to the gentle sound of rain, to the flow of water on its journey. Or the exquisite flavor of a sun-warmed blackberry, fresh off the vine.

Cedar’s Wonder is a partnership with the land. A relationship that we carry with us when we go back to our busy lives. A relationship we will remember is always there, waiting for us to return, knowing that we never really left.

My purpose

To guide people back into their sacred relationship with the Earth, with all her beings, and with themselves.

About me

Hi, my name is Katie and I am the owner and guide for Cedar's Wonder. I'm a Certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, a Certified Wildlife Tracker, and a trained naturalist. My true home has always been in wild places. I'm passionate about sharing my love of nature with others and seeing their own spark ignite.I have lived all over the US – from Georgia to Maine to Alaska – but I'm happy to call Skagit County home with my husband and two sweet boys. In my free time I enjoy going on walks in the ridiculously beautiful forests of the PNW with my family, reading a good book, and listening to music.I have deep empathy for the natural world and the More-Than-Human beings that call this planet home. My hope is that by sharing my passion with others we can protect it, together. For our children and grandchildren, generation after generation. And for all the beings that call this beautiful world home.

My Why

Cedar's Wonder is named after my two amazing children, Cedar Kai and Luca Wonder. They are the light of my life. Their joy and curiousity when we are out in the natural world gives me so much inspiration, so much hope, and so much drive. I want to ensure that we are leaving them a world that is just as beautiful and miraculous. I want them to walk in the woods with their children experiencing awe and wonder. Everything I do is for them.
